  • Partial lunar eclipse in Pisces

    Partial lunar eclipse in Pisces

17 September 2024 at 25 degrees of Pisces

    TL:DR

The full moon conjunct Neptune and Saturn helps us see the big picture, and shed light on the part of our lives where we are committing to something for the sake of commitment, hypercritical, inflexible, worry some and getting lost in the details.

We are embarking on a new nodal axis that helps us welcome change, celebrate our individual talents gifts and abilities, and appreciate a higher principle.

The full moon in Pisces is a premonition of the energy we are heading towards in 2025.

Over the last year we have been working with the energy of the North Node (NN) and south node (SN) in Libra. During this transit we have been learning how to pay attention to our inner voice, our own needs and find the things that keep our inner flame burning. We sacrificed debilitating selflessness, co-dependance (overly concerned with external harmony), obsession with fairness and justice in order to heighten our own independence, and self awareness.

The embodiment of Pisces energy is to embrace compassion, non-judgement, freeing the mind, finding the silver lining, focusing on the what not the how, acknowledging connection with the universe, and welcoming change.

The full moon in Pisces activates both Neptune and Saturn alluding to some breakdown in belief , and/or higher order. This can look like a tower moment where structures, ideologies, and systems that have long past their relevance are beginning to crumble. Through the destruction, chaos, and upheaval we are being asked (or told) to build a newer better foundation that celebrates as opposes to scrutinizes, welcomes as opposed to excludes, adapts as opposed to impose.

Pisces energy gets us to look at the bigger picture. Where in the past have we given our own power away to someone else who appeared to have it all figured out, a perfect step by step guide to build the ideal life. Regiment, precise, and totally prescriptive. Think of paint by numbers but for your life.

We want the model to fit our own lives, feeling shame and guilt when an arbitrary measure of success repeatedly is missed, because when is life every like paint by numbers.

The lunar eclipse in Pisces is the beginning of the work to unravel the parts of ourselves that are too caught up in controlling the details (the how) and losing the plot (the what, and why). We will be shifting our focus away from what how we are going to get the things we want form our life and open our selves up for all the ways that wish fulfillment can be delivered to us.

  • Maximizing Mercury Retrograde in Virgo: Liberation and New Focus

Maximizing Mercury Retrograde in Virgo: Liberation and New Focus

What does it mean when Mercury goes retrograde? and what does it mean for you?

Mercury retrograde is the period when the planet Mercury appears to move backwards in the sky. Mercury retrograde occurs in three phases:

    • Pre-shadow, this is when Mercury looks like it is slowing down in the sky but still moving forward
    • Retrograde, this is when Mercury appears to move backwards in the sky
    • Post-shadow, this is when Mercury starts to move forward again and gains speed over time. Any blockers or problems that came up during the retrograde will start to clear up.

The planet Mercury represents the way that people think and communicate, and when it’s in retrograde it’s generally considered problematic. This is because retrograde planets can bring back old things that you may want to be done with.

Mercury retrograde is most commonly associated with confusion, disagreement, technology breakdowns, delays (especially with travel), and lost items. Business negotiations are influx and key details may be missed or withheld.

In a more positive light, Mercury retrograde can bring back fond memories, and people from your past.

    July 16th | Pre-shadow

Mercury begins to slow down at 21 degrees of Leo. On this day mercury will be squaring (90 degrees of separation) Mars and Uranus in Taurus.

The Mars Uranus conjunction and it’s impact to Mercury retrograde.

When two planets meet in the same place in the sky (same degree and sign) they form a conjunction. Planetary conjunctions will blend the energy of two planets together. In this case we have Mars blending it’s energy with Uranus. These energies together can create a strong desire for strange things, or an eagerness diverge from the way that things have always been done. It can also bring about events that abruptly break you from a pattern, belief, or commitment that isn’t useful anymore.

With the influence of Mars there can be a desire to act spontaneously or erratically in response to new information or communication. It is important to keep in mind that there is a fine line between recklessness and missed opportunity.

With Mercury squaring this aspect it is especially important to measure your words and give extra thought to communications. Typically Mercury square Mars leads to destructive or inflammatory words or thoughts when the message is given from a lower vibration like anger, frustration, and/or anxiety.

The most productive way to direct Mars’ energy is to focus on something that you’ve already been working on so you don’t get caught up in the heat of the moment and do something that you cannot take back. This aspect is great for channeling energy toward long term ideas as opposed to something you feel in the moment.

    August 5th | Mercury retrograde

Mercury stations retrograde (does not appear to move, then begins to move backwards) in the sign of Virgo at 4 degrees. As Mercury stations retrograde it will square Mars and Jupiter.

    The energy of Mercury Retrograde

When mercury to stations retrograde it will be squaring Mars and Jupiter in Gemini, this can increase the amount of information being shared as well as our desire to act on it.

It is important with mercury retrograde that we are extra thoughtful and diligent around the information we consume, our own thoughts, and what we say to others.

Mercury retrograde in Virgo is a great time to reassess, and correct things that we want to work better for ourselves. Focusing on how to make things more grounded, simple, and practical which allow us to integrate new and meaningful lessons throughout mercury retrograde and beyond.

Now is a good time to clean out parts of your life that are causing anxiety and distress. Take breaks from things that we are doing to excess and be critical of how those behaviors are serving us (or not serving us).

Mercury retrograde in Virgo shows us the clarity and liberation that come from breaking the bonds that hold us back from growing and allow more aligned opportunities in.

    Mercury Retrograde conjunct Venus

Venus brings a pleasant and soothing energy on August 7th when it conjuncts Mercury.
Venus’ energy will brings support, cooperation, and appreciation. If you are working through disputes, or negotiations Venus’ energy will support you in the pursuit of peaceful settlements and dissolve barriers for progress.

    Sun Mercury cazimi

The term “cazimi” derives from the Arabic word “kaṣmīmī,” meaning “in the heart” or “in the center.” Mercury cazimi is considered a special conjunction that supports sudden positive insights related to Mercury retrograde. The Mercury cazimi will happen on August 18th and September 30th.

The Sun conjunct Mercury brings mental alertness, quick thinking, adaptability, and curiosity. Expect increased personal interaction that will bring needed insight into the lessons from Mercury retrograde.

  • Maximizing Jupiter’s Influence in Gemini: Communication and Resilience | Astrology 2024-2025

Maximizing Jupiter’s Influence in Gemini: Communication and Resilience | Astrology 2024-2025

Jupiter enters Gemini on May 25th, 2024 until June 9th 2025

What does Jupiter mean for us in general?

Jupiter’s job is to bring expansion to our understanding, experiences, and knowledge. It represents good fortune, protection, growth, optimism, and abundance.

While Jupiter was in Taurus, it pushed us to honor our needs for stability, comfort, grounding. While compelling us cultivate tangible outcomes, and provide for ourselves using our own abilities.

Now that Jupiter is moving into the sign of Gemini we are going to expand our close connections, learn new information, and communicate in ways we haven’t previously.

The goal of Jupiter in Gemini is to get in touch with the part of ourselves that needs to collect, communicate, articulate, and process information. When Jupiter is in this sign we seek mental stimulation, movement, and variety.

What is the energy of Gemini?

Gemini is a mutable, air sign.

Mutable Modality: Having the qualities of change, flow, transformation, and pivots. Mutable signs act as an energetic bridge between cardinal and fix signs. What this means is that mutable signs are able to balance the enduring energy of fixed signs and the engaging energy of cardinal signs. If you think about where mutable signs fall in the year, Gemini is the transition from the end of spring into the beginning of summer.

Element of Air: When a sign has the elemental quality of air, that sign is associated with topics and themes like communication, the mind, interpersonal topics, and socializing. Air signs tend to direct their energy outward, and skew towards action as opposed to being receptive.

The energy of Jupiter and Gemini together.

Jupiter will be transiting through the sign of Gemini for approximately one year. While it is here we will see expansion relating to our mindset, communication, network, and location. When Jupiter is in Gemini it is very resilient, there is energetic incentive to learn, change, and adapt to external factors.

In comparison when Jupiter transited Taurus we learned how to expand our own sense of prosperity. This was achieved by setting clear goals and consistently showing up to manifest them.

Jupiter in Taurus is very tangible, so lessons likely came through our 3-D reality.

Jupiter in Gemini is more mental, and the big picture here is how we expand our mind to see the BIG PICTURE. This will likely happen through connections with new people, participating in an educational course or program, and/or going to new places.

Gemini’s lessons help us to be more resilient by putting us in situations that are unfamiliar or foreign. We may see this manifest as changes with where we live, who we associate with, or where/how we consume information.

Curiosity, being dynamic, and friendliness will manifest the best results for this transit.

looking to the future Jupiter in Gemini primes for when Uranus enters Gemini in 2025. Where we will learn to integrate the lessons from Jupiter as we experience the new energy with Uranus. (especially when it trines Pluto in Aquarius)

Manifesting opportunities and being “quick, creative, and concise”

During this transit opportunities present themselves when we employ our own social charm, wit, and cleverness.

There can also be a sense of comfort in articulating your thoughts and ideas, verbally or writing things down by hand.

Gemini is attuned to collecting information, fact gathering, discussions and debates. Encouraging open questioning is also a good way to explore this energy.

Jupiter out of balance in Gemini

The ruler of Gemini is the planet Mercury. Mercury represents the way that we think, process information, our manner of speaking, and business transactions

A well balanced mercury can navigate internal and external stimuli with ease and tact. While an unbalanced Mercury is easily disrupted by the same thing.

Similarly with Gemini, when we do not honor our needs like rest, and set healthy boundaries we can quickly spiral and burn out. It is important to carry the lessons we learned from Jupiter’s transit in Taurus and establish a strong mind body connection. Taurus’ influence helped expand our material reality. Gemini works to expand our mental reality.

Problematic behavior from Jupiter can look like, becoming obsessed with ones thoughts, or being bogged down by too many thoughts, lack of follow through or indecision, lack of focus, and gossiping.

    You should avoid

    • skimming the surface of topics
    • speaking too much or too soon
    • taking on too many projects or scattering your energy
    • staying busy for the sake of being busy.

Its important to remember that Jupiter wants us to see the big picture. Contrarily Gemini wants to appreciate the details. The point here as we get to experience Jupiter in Gemini is to harmonize both ends of this expression.

When we were working with Jupiter in Taurus our actions directly impacted our manifestations. Because Gemini is mental our thoughts can literally manifest themselves. So being mindful of how our own thoughts shape our perception of reality is key.

    Activities with Jupiter in Gemini

    • Keep in touch with friends, siblings, co-workers
    • Learn a new language, or expand your current vocabulary
    • take small or short trips
    • upgrade devices that you use to communicate
    • Anything that uses hands, arms, and lungs (breathing exercises is a great low effort way to engage with the energy, especially because breathing expands the lungs)

    I hope this helps 🙂
