  • Maximizing Jupiter’s Influence in Gemini: Communication and Resilience | Astrology 2024-2025

Maximizing Jupiter’s Influence in Gemini: Communication and Resilience | Astrology 2024-2025

Jupiter enters Gemini on May 25th, 2024 until June 9th 2025

What does Jupiter mean for us in general?

Jupiter’s job is to bring expansion to our understanding, experiences, and knowledge. It represents good fortune, protection, growth, optimism, and abundance.

While Jupiter was in Taurus, it pushed us to honor our needs for stability, comfort, grounding. While compelling us cultivate tangible outcomes, and provide for ourselves using our own abilities.

Now that Jupiter is moving into the sign of Gemini we are going to expand our close connections, learn new information, and communicate in ways we haven’t previously.

The goal of Jupiter in Gemini is to get in touch with the part of ourselves that needs to collect, communicate, articulate, and process information. When Jupiter is in this sign we seek mental stimulation, movement, and variety.

What is the energy of Gemini?

Gemini is a mutable, air sign.

Mutable Modality: Having the qualities of change, flow, transformation, and pivots. Mutable signs act as an energetic bridge between cardinal and fix signs. What this means is that mutable signs are able to balance the enduring energy of fixed signs and the engaging energy of cardinal signs. If you think about where mutable signs fall in the year, Gemini is the transition from the end of spring into the beginning of summer.

Element of Air: When a sign has the elemental quality of air, that sign is associated with topics and themes like communication, the mind, interpersonal topics, and socializing. Air signs tend to direct their energy outward, and skew towards action as opposed to being receptive.

The energy of Jupiter and Gemini together.

Jupiter will be transiting through the sign of Gemini for approximately one year. While it is here we will see expansion relating to our mindset, communication, network, and location. When Jupiter is in Gemini it is very resilient, there is energetic incentive to learn, change, and adapt to external factors.

In comparison when Jupiter transited Taurus we learned how to expand our own sense of prosperity. This was achieved by setting clear goals and consistently showing up to manifest them.

Jupiter in Taurus is very tangible, so lessons likely came through our 3-D reality.

Jupiter in Gemini is more mental, and the big picture here is how we expand our mind to see the BIG PICTURE. This will likely happen through connections with new people, participating in an educational course or program, and/or going to new places.

Gemini’s lessons help us to be more resilient by putting us in situations that are unfamiliar or foreign. We may see this manifest as changes with where we live, who we associate with, or where/how we consume information.

Curiosity, being dynamic, and friendliness will manifest the best results for this transit.

looking to the future Jupiter in Gemini primes for when Uranus enters Gemini in 2025. Where we will learn to integrate the lessons from Jupiter as we experience the new energy with Uranus. (especially when it trines Pluto in Aquarius)

Manifesting opportunities and being “quick, creative, and concise”

During this transit opportunities present themselves when we employ our own social charm, wit, and cleverness.

There can also be a sense of comfort in articulating your thoughts and ideas, verbally or writing things down by hand.

Gemini is attuned to collecting information, fact gathering, discussions and debates. Encouraging open questioning is also a good way to explore this energy.

Jupiter out of balance in Gemini

The ruler of Gemini is the planet Mercury. Mercury represents the way that we think, process information, our manner of speaking, and business transactions

A well balanced mercury can navigate internal and external stimuli with ease and tact. While an unbalanced Mercury is easily disrupted by the same thing.

Similarly with Gemini, when we do not honor our needs like rest, and set healthy boundaries we can quickly spiral and burn out. It is important to carry the lessons we learned from Jupiter’s transit in Taurus and establish a strong mind body connection. Taurus’ influence helped expand our material reality. Gemini works to expand our mental reality.

Problematic behavior from Jupiter can look like, becoming obsessed with ones thoughts, or being bogged down by too many thoughts, lack of follow through or indecision, lack of focus, and gossiping.

    You should avoid

    • skimming the surface of topics
    • speaking too much or too soon
    • taking on too many projects or scattering your energy
    • staying busy for the sake of being busy.

Its important to remember that Jupiter wants us to see the big picture. Contrarily Gemini wants to appreciate the details. The point here as we get to experience Jupiter in Gemini is to harmonize both ends of this expression.

When we were working with Jupiter in Taurus our actions directly impacted our manifestations. Because Gemini is mental our thoughts can literally manifest themselves. So being mindful of how our own thoughts shape our perception of reality is key.

    Activities with Jupiter in Gemini

    • Keep in touch with friends, siblings, co-workers
    • Learn a new language, or expand your current vocabulary
    • take small or short trips
    • upgrade devices that you use to communicate
    • Anything that uses hands, arms, and lungs (breathing exercises is a great low effort way to engage with the energy, especially because breathing expands the lungs)

    I hope this helps 🙂

  • Full moon in Sagittarius – Big Vision

Full moon in Sagittarius – Big Vision

The key to the full moon in Sagittarius is to stay optimistic, keep the flame alive, and center your big picture. You are at the wheel, determining the direction of your life. Like with all full moons now is a time to release so we can bring in new more aligned things into our life.

Sagittarius wants to be free, to go deep and gain wisdom. At times external pressures seem to work against that drive, they serve no purpose other than to play us out of our own abundance. The take away is to trust ourselves enough follow our own intuition and discernment as we blaze forward.

The plant that co-rules this full moon in Sagittarius is Jupiter, which is still in Taurus. What this tells us is that the universe is here to provide, all we need to do is go out and cultivate the thing that we desire. The only requirement is that you are rooted in your ‘why’ and you are willing to adapt and transform as you need in order to reach that goal. The tallest trees have the deepest roots.

Venus is also a key player in this full moon because it will be conjunct Jupiter. Venus’ influence helps find balance and harmonize the changes necessary to move on.

We are continuing to synthesize the events of the Aries eclipse and the Uranus Jupiter conjunction back in April. What new things have we learned? how are we being asked to adapt. How have we defined and re-defined ourselves? Has this change impacted our course in life. As we march forward with these lessons, the activation of Sagittarius tells us to connect with the part of ourselves that is free of ego and its perceived divisions.

  • Solar Eclipse in Aries

    Solar Eclipse in Aries

I sat with my anger long enough until she told me her real name was greif.

    C.S.Lewis

The solar eclipse is on April 8th 2:20pm at 19 degrees of Aries.

This eclipse will be in a exact conjunction with Chiron, the asteroid of emotional and spiritual wounds. At the time of the eclipse, Venus will be making a supportive sextile to Pluto, and Saturn and Mars will be approaching their annual conjunction.

This eclipse will be the most impactful for cardinal signs and placements on and around 19 degrees of Aries, (give it a 5 degree orb so 14-24 degrees).

I will be doing this interpretation using whole sign houses, this means that the expression of Aries will be somewhere in your chart based on your ascendant sign. For example if you are a Capricorn rising this eclipse will be happening in your 4th house.

The sign of Aries is all about who you are as an individual, What you feel, how you feel it, and how you act. Aries values inspired action, that feels good in your body. The goal of the eclipse in Aries is to help you define who you are and what you stand for. Even if it means you have to fight for it. But becareful of acting impulsively on your actions. This Eclipse wants you to honor all of your emotions without being controlled by them.

Along for this eclipse activation is Chrion and Mercury.

We have been working with Mercury retrograde since April 1st. This is an opportunity to slow down, feel our feelings, and decide with a level head how we want to move forward. (if not we end up needing to review, reflect, and redo) with this particular retorgrade with mars conjunct neptune in Pisces, you might feel the urge to move forward for the sake of movement without a plan or goal. Try to avoid that.

If you have mercury direct in your natal/birth chart, be mindful of your energy. Are you quick to anger? take a step back and give yourself time to cool off. Do you feel like you need to get to a destination quickly? Is there really a need for immediacy, or is this some sort of manufactured urgency that doesn’t actually get you anywhere?

Mercury retrograde gives you the space to slow down and listen to the fire inside you. Now is the time to get in touch with what feels right and find a way to integrate it into your life.

For those of you with Mercury retrograde in your natal/birth chart. What has been causing energetic congestion in your life? What actions are you taking to clear the crap.

Mercury retorgrade gives you the green light to move forward to our destination. Don’t look back.

With Chiron there is a need to release guilt and shame that is associated with the way that you express youself. If your intentions are honest non-malicious you are supported in your acctions. If youre interested in reading more, check out my chiron in Aries article.

  • Why Chiron in Aries Matters this Eclipse Season

Why Chiron in Aries Matters this Eclipse Season

The April 8th Eclipse in Aries will happen in an exact conjunction with the asteroid Chiron.

To understand the impact of Chiron in your natal chart as well as Chiron in transit. you need to understand the myth behind Chiron’s namesake.

The term transit is used to refer to the movement of a planet through the constellations. For example the suns transit through the sign of Aries takes roughly 28 days.

The Greek figure Chiron is a half man half horse demi-god, who’s parents Kronos and Philyra both abandoned him after child birth do to shame and disgust for his appearance. At the start of Chiron’s story he inherits a heavy karma from the actions of his conception.

He was taken in by Apollo, the sun god who taught him the art of medicine, herbs, music, archery, hunting, gymnastics, and prophecy, and made him rise above his beastly nature. Chiron was known for his knowledge and skill with medicine, and thus was credited with the discovery of botany and pharmacy, the science of herbs and medicine.

Although a centaur, Chiron’s physical appearance often differs somewhat from other centaurs, demonstrating his status and heritage. In traditional Greek representations of Chiron his front legs are human, rather than equine. This is in contrast to the traditional representation of centaurs, which have the entire lower body of a horse. This Made Chiron stand out physically as well as with his demeanor. Traditionally centaurs in Greek myth are described as wild, unclothed, lusty, overly indulgent drinkers and carousers, violent when intoxicated, and generally uncultured delinquents.

By honing his mind, Chiron was able to transcend stereotypes and create his own identity.

Later in life Chiron was pierced by an arrow treated with the blood of the hydra, this left a wound that was uncurable but could not kill him since he is immortal. Chiron spent the remainder of his life looking for a cure. He was unsuccessful in treating his own wound but was able to heal many others in his pursuits. This is where he gets his wounded healer title.

At the end of his life, he is able to get Hercules to convince Zeus to exchange his immortality with Prometheus so he could die and be at peace. Zeus took pity on him and placed him amongst the stars to be remembered forever as the constellation Centaurus.

Chiron’s story is tragic, Ironic, impactful, and endearing. While we are not immortal, and we have not been hit by an actual poison arrow. We all have deep wounds that we are dealing with. In our pursuit to master the more shameful, guilty, and . are able to in turn help others with similar afflictions.

Chiron can be associated with the feelings of: shame, guilt, pain, vulnerability, and can also be used as an overall health indicator.

So if you are feeling low energy, depressed, unsure, and/or lost. It’s okay, slow down or rest if you need to. You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. (you can thank mercury retrograde for that one) However, you do need to take the time to get in touch with yourself and your wants and needs. In the time around this eclipse, what are the things that are triggering you? good or bad. What makes you angry? Why? understanding those feelings are the secret to unlocking the wisdom of this eclipse and the Chiron transit in Aries.

In the coming weeks we have an opportunity to have a cathartic release, as an effect of the self reflection of the Eclipse. This is so we can move fearlessly into the future in spite of all of the reasons people tell us that we shouldn’t.

  • Mercury Retrograde in Aries Forecast

    Mercury Retrograde in Aries Forecast

Photo by Vlad Fonsark on Pexels.com

Mercury stations retrograde at 26 degrees and 12 minutes of Aries. on April 1st 2024 @6:30 am EST

People with Cardinal placements between 15 – 30 degrees (ARIES, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) will feel this energy the most. Fire signs are up next (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and Scorpio (due to mars rulership in traditional astrology)

From April 01 to April 25th Mercury will appear to move backwards in the sky. The dispositor of this retrograde is Mars, which is in Pisces with in 10 degrees of Saturn.

What does dispositor mean? Dispositor is a term used to describe the ruling planet of an activated sign, and is used in astrology to bring additional detail to the event being looked at.

The energy of Mercury retrograde in Aries might feel a little weird. Aries likes action, instinct, inspirations, and passion. When Mercury normally spends it’s time in Aries communication is straight forward, fast, and witty. But a retrograde Mercury wants us to measure twice and cut once with our words. This is the antithesis of what Aries does normally, (instead of “ready, aim, fire Aries is fire, ready, aim). As a consequence we might feel ourselves spin out, like were doggy paddling in circles. As we enter this retrograde it’s important that we first protect our own energy and be patient with ourselves so we can be patient with others, because they’ll be experiencing the mercury retrograde too.

Earlier I mentioned that the dispositor of the retrograde would be Mars. Currently Mars is in the sign of Pisces. The energy of Mars in Pisces, is also a bit weird. Mars focuses on action, passion, and assertion. This is a stark contrast to the energy of Pisces which appreciates belief, connection, oneness, and flow.

This can shake out in a couple of ways:

    Less challenging:

When Mars is in Pisces there might be more energy to fight or protect the things we believe in….(I say protect because of the the close proximity of Saturn to Mars in Pisces). Or a passion for play and exploration as a means for pleasure, but be careful about over indulging. If you are feeling this energy, ride the wave. There is likely something you are meant to find, realize, or connect with that has been hidden from you that will help you get in touch with yourself ahead of the Aries eclipse.

    More challenging:

Another manifestation of this energy might be the dampening of passion, and a need to slow your roll. As Mars approaches Saturn in Pisces at the beginning of the mercury retrograde we are being checked by Saturn who’s been doing the work to clean up the energetic leaks in the Pisces part of our charts since the beginning of last year. And if the energy that we approach this conjunction causes us to burn out, or vaporizes our energy, or some how puts undue pressure on Saturn to move faster and produce results (it wont) (because Mars yields to Saturn in this scenario, and Mercury supports a slow down as well….Let me know if you want me to explain my reasoning for this) Our efforts might just get thrown in our face. This frustration, of perceived set back shouldn’t last the entire retrograde as mars moves away from Saturn, and approaches Neptune. Be cautious of retreating into negative coping mechanisms as we work with the energies.

  • Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra

We will be experiencing the lunar eclipse on the 25th of March. This will be happening at 5 degrees of the Libra and Aries axis. Any one with placements on and around 0 – 10 degrees of Aries and libra or the other cardinal signs (Cap, and Pisces) will feel this event the most.

Libra is the sign of others, balance, harmony, support. Aries is the sign of self, instinct, will, and risk. As we approach the lunar eclipse in Libra there is push to make a sacrifice in order to break from cycles of self identification that are causing energetic leaks and poisoning us. Think about where in our lives where we have been taking on responsibility for things we have no control over including things we did in the past. Or places where we are being asked to show up as something externally that we do not feel aligned with internally.

We are being asked to contend with the voices that have been impressed on our subconscious that tell us we should feel shame for being too much. That voice got us to change how we behave so we can understand what it means to work within someone else’s rules. Maybe back then it made sense to go along to get along so we had place to belong and a sense of safety. We are learning with this eclipse energy to be who we are without the need to meet the expectations of others. To find the safety by being grounded in who we are and trusting our own judgements and instincts.

We are learning to decouple our identity from shame and instead loving ourselves wholly in spite of all the excuses we are given not to. We are divorcing ourselves from the value forced on us by others regarding our worth, because who we are has no measurable value and is therefore priceless. We are recommitting to the voice within us guiding us to the things that energetically feel right and feed the passionate flames within us.

We are learning that the validation of self is the only validation that really holds any weight.

As we release the parts of ourselves that rely to heavily on others we are then left with the task of self definition/concept. As we move forward into the Aries eclipse on the 8th think about the things in life the feed your fire, and as we find those things and take action on them. We empower others around us to do the same

Pisces is the sign of connection. When the Moon and Sun meet in this sign it will be within 10 degrees of the planet Neptune. This will magnify the Pisces energy for the next two to 4 weeks. Because of Neptune’s influence on this new moon there can be a mixed bag of energies.

A more easy manifestation of this energy would be a rebirth of creative and expansive energy that inspires us to be something greater than ourselves. It makes me think of that popular question, “ who would you be if you knew you wouldn’t be judged for it?”

The more challenging manifestation centers about lies and illusion. If you are struggling with the latter remember that Saturn is here to ground you in reality and help protect you from the things that drain your energy, including your self. Saturn often gets painted in a negative light, because it does all the things that are needed. It’s presence in Pisces is the dose of lucidity that will work on the part of your chart where Neptune is going unchecked.

Happening around this time is the Chiron conjunction with the north node. The north node is the part of the chart where we are being asked to develop further by rejecting things that aren’t working anymore in the libra part of the chart. Chiron is commonly associated with deep psychological wounds. Both of these energies together in the aries part of the chart will give us the opportunity to release wounds that are keeping us from being fearless.

This will be the last new moon before we kick off the energetic new year once the sun moves into Aries. If you practice manifestation and intention setting during the new moon this is a good time before we dive into eclipse season.

  • Full Moon in Virgo

    Full Moon in Virgo

The main players for this full moon, are the moon in Virgo and the Sun, Saturn, and Mercury in Pisces.

Prior to this full moon we had the conjunction between Mars and Venus in Aquarius and Chiron and the North Node in Aries.

Virgo is the expression of ones self wholly, it is the sovereign power that one has over themselves and their immediate world. Where ever Virgo is in your chart is where you stive to be the best and most complete version of yourself.

When the moon is full in the sign of Virgo there is this energy of wanting to analyze, correct, and expel with the goal of becoming who we truly are.

When the moon becomes fully illuminated it will also be directly opposite Mercury and Saturn. Mercury is the planet of logic and communication and Saturn is the planet of consequence and structure. When we add these planets to the mix there is a sense of reckoning, something that must be removed from the equation to be able to reap the reward of this energy.

Depending on where this is happening in your chart this can manifest in different ways, you might feel the need to abstain from consuming things physically, mentally, and emotionally. You might feel the need to approach an interaction simply and honestly. You might find yourself reflecting on the goals you set back in the beginning of the year, and ask yourself does this reflect the mental image of my ideal self?

To go back to the heart of this forecast the full moon and oppositions in general are about finding the middle ground between two opposing forces and learning they are just two sides of the same coin. To expand you need logic and discretion. Your success is directly tied to your definition of it. And sometimes testing the boundary is a good way to learn where it is and how it affects you (please be safe).
